Buy Raw Honey in Launceston, Tasmania
Launceston does strong coffee, good bread, and plenty of cheese. This honey works because it has enough depth to sit beside all three.

Locals order it when they want something with more weight than the usual mild breakfast jar.
Strong enough for bread and good enough to drag onto a cheese board without looking silly.
The $10 taster is the easy start, the 400g jar is the workhorse, and free shipping kicks in once you hit $50.

What people in Launceston and beyond reckon
From recent orders around Australia. Different kitchens, same jar.
"Tassie cold set it firm, which was expected. Sat it in warm water and it came good. Very good with sourdough and sharp cheddar."
Maciej M.
Hobart, TAS
"Good winter porridge honey. Strong enough that you can still taste it after hot oats and cinnamon. That's rarer than it should be."
Jessica D.
Canberra, ACT
"Not delicate, not floral, not trying to be fancy. Good with buttered sourdough and a flat white. Exactly what I wanted."
Jane K.
Melbourne, VIC

Questions from Launceston
Shipping, jars, and the usual things people in Launceston ask us.
Zone: National. Orders to Launceston usually land in 3-7 business days from Alice Springs. Shipping is free over $50, otherwise it is a flat $10.
Start with the 150g taster for $10 if you just want a crack. The 400g jar is $25 and makes the most sense for everyday use. The 6-pack is $60 if you are sorting gifts or sharing. Honeycomb is $17.99 when it is in stock.
River Red Gum is the safer all-rounder with milder cheeses. Bloodwood is the one for cheddar, blue, or anything with a bit more bite.
"Pure" and "natural" are marketing words — they only mean no added sugar, so the honey can still be heated and filtered to death. Raw means it skipped all that. Ours goes straight from the hive into the jar, unheated and unfiltered, so the enzymes and pollen that make honey worth eating are still in there.
Not certified — honest answer is nobody's honey really can be, because bees fly wherever they want. But our hives sit in remote desert country outside Alice Springs, a long way from farms and sprays. The bees work wild Desert Bloodwood and River Red Gum, which is about as close to organic as honey gets.
Manuka is graded and priced for its antibacterial rating, and a lot of what's on shelves in Launceston barely has one. Ours is a table honey — bold, mineral-rich and meant to be eaten, not kept in the medicine cabinet. If you're after flavour instead of an MGO number, desert honey wins on value every time.
