The short version
We keep your name, address, email and phone so we can post your honey. Stripe handles your card and we never see the number. We don't sell your details to anyone. If you want to see what we hold or have it deleted, email us.
What we collect
- When you order: your name, email, phone, delivery address and what you bought. Stripe collects these at checkout and passes them to us so we can pack and post the order.
- When you join the Rain Alert list or ask to hear about restocks or Subscribe & Save: your email address, and the product if you picked one.
- When you use the contact form: your name, email and whatever you write to us.
- When you browse: standard visit data from Google Analytics and Cloudflare (pages viewed, rough location, device and browser). We use it to see what people read and fix what's broken. It isn't used to identify you.
What we do with it
- Pack, post and sort out problems with your order.
- Email you about your order.
- Email the Rain Alert list when there's a new batch. Only if you signed up, and you can get off it any time by replying or emailing us.
- Answer your questions.
- Keep the website working.
Who else touches it
We don't sell, rent or trade your details. A few services handle them for us so the shop can run:
- Stripe processes payments. Your card details go straight to Stripe and never reach us.
- Our web host stores order notifications, signups and contact messages on a server we manage.
- Our email provider delivers notifications about orders, signups and messages to our inbox.
- Google Analytics and Cloudflare collect the visit data described above.
- The postal service or courier gets your name and address so they can deliver.
Some of these services may store data outside Australia. We'd also share details if the law required us to.
Cookies and browser storage
Your cart and your light/dark mode choice are saved in your own browser so they're still there when you come back. Google Analytics sets cookies to count visits. You can clear or block these in your browser settings. The shop still works, though your cart won't be remembered.
Keeping it safe
The site runs over HTTPS, payments go through Stripe, and only the people who run the business can get to your details. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep what we hold to the minimum.
Seeing, fixing or deleting your details
Email us and ask. We'll tell you what we hold, fix anything that's wrong, or delete it. We may need to keep order records for tax purposes. If you're unhappy with how we've handled something, tell us first and we'll sort it out. You can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
Changes
If we change how we handle your details, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
